Trigger Sprayers

Trigger sprayers are available in a wide variety of colors and sizes to address a seemingly endless number of
             applications.

All trigger sprayers share some basic design elements such as... TRIGGER SPRAYERS

1 The Body is the housing that holds all the components for the trigger. These can be molded of a rugged single piece
construction or comprised of lighter duty components covered with a shroud.

2 The Nozzle regulates how much liquid is sprayed as well as the stream pattern. Nozzles vary in design and can be
comprised of one or multiple components designed to generate specific spray patterns. Nozzles can be an on / off
type which offers an off position as well as one or two fixed spray patterns. A variable type nozzle can be adjusted
from off to fine mist to a strong stream.

3 The Piston or piston cup is one of the most important components of a trigger sprayer as it is the pump of the trigger
sprayer. Pulling the trigger advances the piston cup, and releasing the trigger draws the liquid to the nozzle. Piston
cups are available in a variety of materials including plastic, rubber, and Viton. Rubber and Viton piston cups are
more durable and less susceptible to damage.

4 The Trigger can range in size from 1-finger to 4-fingers, and is used to push the piston to draw the liquid from the
             bottle.

5 The Collar affixes the trigger to the bottle and is available with or without a ratchet finish.

6 The Dip Tube is used to draw liquid from the bottom of the bottle. These are available in a variety of lengths and can
be custom cut. Some come with a strainer, while other models do not offer this feature.

Tolco offers triggers that we classify as General Purpose, Packaging, High Output, Foaming, Chemical Resistant,
and Acid Resistant. In addition, triggers can be further classified as non-leaking. This indicates that the trigger has a
gasket where the collar meets the bottle which prevents liquid from leaking if the bottle is tipped over or agitated.
